Sponsorship

One of the main priorities of the company is support of the region in which it operates. So, within the scope of the region, in 2010 Unipetrol RPA supported assorted projects with financial resources in a total volume of 1.38 million Czech Crowns.

As a significant domestic company, Unipetrol RPA considers itself obligated to help the region with which the company is most associated historically and in which it has its key production facility. Thanks to company support, counties and cities can undertake activities for which they would be hard-pressed to find funding in their budgets. Most Unipetrol RPA employees live and reside in the region, so in this way financial resources are partially returned to those that create them.

Support of the regional activities

Systematic cooperation with the cities of Most, Litvínov and Meziboří dates back to the year 1999. Up to the present time, the group of partners has been enlarged to include thirteen towns and communities of the region (Lom, Horní Jiřetín, Louka, Nová Ves v Horách, Hora svaté Kateřiny, Klíny, Český Jiřetín, Mariánské Radčice, Želenice and Brandov). Support is traditionally focused on the development of activities in the social domain and in the areas of culture, social life and sports.

At the same time, the company supports many small regional projects focused on ecology (common projects with the Ecology Centre in Most), prevention (Children’s Day with the Police of the Czech Republic) and education of young people, for instance.

Most Hospital

For six years now, Unipetrol RPA has been closely collaborating with the hospital in Most. In 2010 the company contributed to the purchase of a fibro bronchoscope including light source and monitor. This configuration serves to examine patients in the lung department. In 2009 the company contributed to the Babylog 8000 Plus lung incubator for the intensive care unit (ICU) of the children’s and young adults department.

Support of regional schools and VŠCHT

The company cooperates with the secondary schools in the region (Educhem and Schola Humanitas secondary schools) and with the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague (Vysoká škola chemicko-technologická v Praze, VŠCHT).
